Demian Maia completely dominates Gunnar Nelson in grapple-fest
Demian Maia's BJJ is not just on another level. It's in another stratosphere.
Facing another high-level grappler in Gunnar Nelson at UFC 194 on Saturday night, Maia made Nelson look like a rank amateur, completely dominating the "Gunni" in a bout contested predominantly on the floor.
It was 15 minutes of Maia systematically feeding Nelson through the woodchipper, as the Brazilian grappling wizard routinely alternated between unleashing ground-and-pound from full mount, and hunting for rear-naked chokes from back mount.

Following the victory, Maia explained his frustrations with the UFC's official welterweight rankings, and called out the winner of Robbie Lawler and Carlos Condit, who will battle for the title at UFC 195 in January.
Maia calls for the chance to fight the winner of Robbie Lawler vs. Carlos Condit. Thirty-eight years old and still drowning fools.
