DFS: Monday's Goaltender Value Rankings
Here are theScore's goaltender value rankings for Monday, November 30:
Top Options
Name | Opponent | Value |
---|---|---|
Henrik Lundqvist (NYR) | vs CAR | 10 |
Anders Nilsson (EDM) | at TOR | 9 |
Even as the most expensive goalie on most sites, King Henrik is worth every penny. He has a 2.05 GAA, a .936 SV% and he's at home against Carolina and their 28th-ranked offense. Nilsson had very strong outings this past week against Washington and Pittsburgh and looks to have taken over as Edmonton's no. 1 netminder.
Best of the Rest
Name | Opponent | Value |
---|---|---|
Ryan Miller (VAN) | at ANA | 8 |
Thomas Greiss (NYI) | vs COL | 7 |
Miller should have no problem against Anaheim's second-worst offense. Greiss is the fourth goalie expected to be on the winning side, but don't disregard Colorado's offensive fire power.
Nothing to See Here
Name | Opponent | Value |
---|---|---|
Semyon Varlamov (COL) | at NYI | 6 |
John Gibson (ANA) | vs VAN | 4 |
Garret Sparks (TOR) | vs EDM | 3 |
Cam Ward (CAR) | at NYR | 1 |
Gibson started the past two games but didn't exactly shine, and will receive another chance Monday. Sparks has played well in the AHL this year (1.90 GAA, .938 SV%), but it's incredibly risky banking on a goalie making his NHL debut. He's still a better option than Ward, who will have to go into Madison Square Garden against one of the top teams in the league.
