Report: Okafor had gun pulled on him in previous altercation
Philadelphia 76ers rookie Jahlil Okafor had a gun pointed at him by two men during an October altercation in downtown Philadelphia, according to CSN's John Gonzalez.
The report comes two days after the 19-year-old center was involved in a fracas outside a Boston bar. In the October incident, a verbal disagreement outside a nightclub led to Okafor attempting to punch a man in a parked car before an individual pointed a firearm in his direction, according to Gonzalez.
U.S. Park Rangers - on duty in the historic Old City neighborhood of downtown Philadelphia - arrived on the scene during the altercation, police reports indicate.
"We are aware that there is an ongoing investigation regarding the alleged incident and are unable to comment further," a Sixers' spokesperson told CSN.
Okafor told media Friday that the Boston incident "was something that I am embarrassed about.
"It was definitely dumb on my part," he said.
