DFS: Week 12 Tight End Value Rankings
Here are theScore's tight end value rankings for Week 12 (Thursday games excluded):
Value Rankings
QB | RB | WR | TE
Top Options
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Delanie Walker (TEN) | vs. OAK | 10 |
Jordan Reed (WAS) | vs. NYG | 9 |
Tyler Eifert (CIN) | vs. STL | 8 |
Rob Gronkowski (NE) | at DEN | 8 |
Travis Kelce (KC) | vs. BUF | 8 |
On a week where the best options really are the best options, Walker seizes top spot thanks to a cake matchup with a porous Oakland pass defense. Reed is a great No. 2 if healthy (monitor his status throughout the week) while Eifert's red-zone prowess can't be ignored, even against the Rams. Gronk is an every-week stud; the Broncos aren't likely to slow him down.
Best of the Rest
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Antonio Gates (SD) | at JAC | 7 |
Gary Barnidge (CLE) | vs. BAL | 6 |
Crockett Gillmore (BAL) | at CLE | 5 |
Benjamin Watson (NO) | at HOU | 5 |
Kyle Rudolph (MIN) | at ATL | 5 |
Heath Miller (PIT) | at SEA | 5 |
Put aside Gates' pitiful Week 11 performance - he's the lynchpin of the San Diego pass offense and will see plenty of targets in Jacksonville. Barnidge takes a hit with Johnny Manziel under center, though his floor remains high. Gillmore is one of the only healthy receiving options left in Baltimore. Miller should take advantage of the Seahawks' struggles against tight ends.
Nothing to See Here
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Julius Thomas (JAC) | vs. SD | 4 |
Vernon Davis (DEN) | vs. NE | 3 |
Owen Daniels (DEN) | vs. NE | 3 |
Jimmy Graham (SEA) | vs. PIT | 2 |
Charles Clay (BUF) | at KC | 2 |
Jacob Tamme (ATL) | vs. MIN | 2 |
Jared Cook (STL) | at CIN | 1 |
Coby Fleener (IND) | vs. TB | 1 |
Ladarius Green (SD) | at JAC | 1 |
Vance McDonald (SF) | vs. ARI | 1 |
Thomas isn't much of a factor in the Jacksonville offense, and should be faded. Davis and Daniels negate each other's value as long as they divide snaps. Graham is no longer DFS relevant as an afterthought in the Seattle pass attack. Clay has a dreadful matchup with a Kansas City defense that is tough on tight ends. Tamme is a non-factor with Leonard Hankerson back.
