DFS: Week 12 Quarterback Value Rankings

Logan Bowles-USA TODAY Sports

Here are theScore's quarterback value rankings for Week 12 (Thursday games excluded):

Value Rankings
QB | RB | WR | TE

Top Options

NAME OPPONENT VALUE
Marcus Mariota (TEN) vs. OAK 10
Blake Bortles (JAC) vs. SD 9
Carson Palmer (ARI) at SF 9
Russell Wilson (SEA) vs. PIT 8
Josh McCown (CLE) vs. BAL 8
Brian Hoyer (HOU) vs. NO 8

In a week where a handful of mid-tier quarterbacks face inferior opponents, Mariota stands tallest. The Raiders' defense is a train wreck, and Mariota has shown an innate ability to capitalize on matchups like this. Palmer and Wilson should take advantage of their respective matchups, while McCown and Hoyer have higher floors than normal while carrying low price tags.

Best of the Rest

NAME OPPONENT VALUE
Eli Manning (NYG) at WAS 7
Drew Brees (NO) at HOU 7
Tom Brady (NE) at DEN 7
Brock Osweiler (DEN) vs. NE 6
Tyrod Taylor (BUF) at KC 6
Philip Rivers (SD) at JAC 6
Kirk Cousins (WAS) vs. NYG 6
Ben Roethlisberger (PIT) at SEA 6
Jameis Winston (TB) at IND 6
Ryan Fitzpatrick (NYJ) vs. MIA 5
Teddy Bridgewater (MIN) at ATL 5
Matt Ryan (ATL) vs. MIN 5
Derek Carr (OAK) at TEN 5

Manning and Cousins should both be strong plays in what could wind up being the highest-scoring game of the week. Brady can't be valued any higher given his bloated salary and a matchup with a fierce Broncos defense. Winston should build upon last week's five-touchdown showing. Ryan and Carr should be faded with tough matchups looming.

Nothing to See Here

NAME OPPONENT VALUE
Andy Dalton (CIN) vs. STL 4
Matt Hasselbeck (IND) vs. TB 4
Matt Schaub (BAL) at CLE 3
Ryan Tannehill (MIA) at NYJ 3
Alex Smith (KC) vs. BUF 2
Case Keenum (STL) at CIN 2
Blaine Gabbert (SF) vs. ARI 1

Dalton has limited upside against a staunch Rams defense that has allowed just nine touchdowns through the air. Schaub has a great matchup, but precious few offensive weapons. Smith has one of the lowest week-to-week ceilings of any quarterback in DFS, and has to contend with a difficult Buffalo defense. Keenum and Gabbert shouldn't be rostered anywhere.
