NHL commissioner Gary Bettman reportedly earned more than $9.6 million in base salary and benefits in the season that followed the lockout-shortened 2012-13 campaign, according to the Sports Business Journal.
Bettman's earnings represented an $800,000 raise from the previous year, in which he earned his full freight negotiating a new labor agreement with the NHLPA.
The Sports Business Journal's report indicates that most high-ranking officials in the NHL office saw increased compensation over that similar time period.
