Jazz's Gobert, Hood out vs. Magic

Russ Isabella-USA TODAY Sports / reuters

The Utah Jazz will be short two starters on Friday.

Center Rudy Gobert and shooting guard Rodney Hood will both miss Friday's game against the Orlando Magic.

Gobert sustained an ankle injury during Tuesday's clash with the Cleveland Cavaliers. He sat out Thursday's loss to the Miami Heat, while rookie Trey Lyles filled in at center.

Hood, meanwhile, is battling soreness in his right foot - an injury that dates back to last season. The second-year guard has started all eight of the Jazz's games this season but is struggling to find the range on his 3-point shot.

Backup guard Alec Burks will likely draw the start in place of Hood.
