DFS: Thursday's Shooting Guard Value Rankings
Here are theScore's shooting guard value rankings for Thursday, November 5:
Value Rankings
PG | SG | SF | PF | C
# | Name | Opponent | Risk |
---|---|---|---|
1 | Jimmy Butler (CHI) | vs. OKC | Low |
2 | Alec Burks (UTA) | at DEN | Medium |
3 | Dwyane Wade (MIA) | at MIN | Medium |
4 | Courtney Lee (MEM) | at POR | Medium |
5 | Kevin Martin (MIN) | vs. MIA | Medium |
Butler is the only shooting guard on Thursday's shortened slate who carries limited risk. Burks lands in the second spot because of cost and luck since Wade has been dealing with a migraine despite no expectations to miss time. There is plenty of value, but the floors are very low. Lee has started slowly, but Portland could be exactly what he needs in an opponent.
# | Name | Opponent | Risk |
---|---|---|---|
6 | Jeremy Lamb (CHA) | at DAL | High |
7 | Wesley Matthews (DAL) | vs. CHA | High |
8 | Dion Waiters (OKC) | at CHI | High |
9 | Will Barton (DEN) | vs. UTA | High |
10 | Tony Snell (CHI) | vs. OKC | High |
Matthews and Lamb should provide the best return among this group, and Lamb has had better, more consistent, results so far. Lamb is still playing limited minutes, which could result in a bare cupboard. Matthews has been steadier but his ceiling hasn't been as high.
Snell is getting 25 minutes a game with Mike Dunleavy out. His value is limited, though his price tag makes him an interesting GPP option who won't likely be owned in many contests.
