DFS: Week 9 Wide Receiver Value Rankings
Here are theScore's wide receiver value rankings for Week 9 (Thursday night game excluded):
Value Rankings
QB | RB | WR | TE
Top 5
# | NAME | OPPONENT | RISK |
---|---|---|---|
1 | Alshon Jeffery (CHI) | at SD | Low |
2 | Odell Beckham Jr. (NYG) | at TB | Low |
3 | Julio Jones (ATL) | at SF | Low |
4 | Antonio Brown (PIT) | vs. OAK | Low |
5 | Demaryius Thomas (DEN) | at IND | Low |
With a shootout looming in San Diego, DFS players should bank on Jeffery; he has been sensational when healthy and still has one of the most reasonable salaries among elite wideouts. Beckham, Jones and Brown are every-week studs, while Thomas should be able to capitalize on a Colts defense that has struggled mightily against the pass.

Next 5
# | NAME | OPPONENT | RISK |
---|---|---|---|
6 | Mike Evans (TB) | vs. NYG | Low |
7 | Jarvis Landry (MIA) | at BUF | Low |
8 | Brandon Marshall (NYJ) | vs. JAC | Low |
9 | Julian Edelman (NE) | vs. WAS | Low |
10 | Stevie Johnson (SD) | vs. CHI | Low |
Evans should feast against a visiting Giants defense that was gashed for seven passing touchdowns in Week 8. Landry's floor remains among the highest of any wide receiver, while Marshall is an injury question mark but has a plus matchup if he plays. Edelman may fall victim to a more balanced pass attack. Johnson has huge upside with Keenan Allen (kidney) out for the year.

Best of the Rest
# | NAME | OPPONENT | RISK |
---|---|---|---|
11 | Dez Bryant (DAL) | vs. PHI | Medium |
12 | Emmanuel Sanders (DEN) | at IND | Medium |
13 | Eric Decker (NYJ) | vs. JAC | Medium |
14 | Amari Cooper (OAK) | at PIT | Medium |
15 | Brandin Cooks (NO) | vs. TEN | Medium |
16 | DeSean Jackson (WAS) | at NE | Medium |
17 | Stefon Diggs (MIN) | vs. STL | Medium |
18 | Torrey Smith (SF) | vs. ATL | Medium |
19 | Willie Snead (NO) | vs. TEN | Medium |
20 | Martavis Bryant (PIT) | vs. OAK | Medium |
21 | Brandon LaFell (NE) | vs. WAS | Medium |
22 | Malcom Floyd (SD) | vs. CHI | Medium |
23 | Jordan Matthews (PHI) | at DAL | Medium |
24 | Allen Hurns (JAC) | at NYJ | Medium |
25 | Pierre Garcon (WAS) | at NE | Medium |
Bryant is a risky play until Tony Romo returns, but he should see a ton of targets against the division-rival Eagles. Decker moves way up if Marshall can't play. Jackson and Garcon will likely need some garbage time to reach value, but there should be plenty of that in New England. Saints receivers are hot again after last week, but DFS players should keep expectations in check.

29 | Allen Robinson (JAC) | at NYJ | High |
30 | Donte Moncrief (IND) | vs. DEN | High |
31 | Sammy Watkins (BUF) | vs. MIA | High |
32 | Davante Adams (GB) | at CAR | High |
33 | T.Y. Hilton (IND) | vs. DEN | High |
34 | Michael Crabtree (OAK) | at PIT | High |
35 | Dwayne Harris (NYG) | at TB | High |
36 | James Jones (GB) | at CAR | High |
37 | Mike Wallace (MIN) | vs. STL | High |
38 | Danny Amendola (NE) | vs. WAS | High |
39 | Marquess Wilson (CHI) | at SD | High |
40 | Ted Ginn Jr. (CAR) | vs. GB | High |
None of the Packers' receivers are recommended plays this week; while Cobb will likely avoid Josh Norman in coverage, he has struggled for most of the season and simply can't be trusted. Ditto Robinson, who will find himself matched up with Darrelle Revis in his most difficult test of the season. Hilton should be left unowned, as well, with the Broncos coming to town.
