VIDEO: Stars' PA plays nothing but Nickelback for an entire period
The Dallas Stars' game operations staff is adept at playfully jabbing the opposition, but their latest stunt inflicted suffering on their own fans.
The Stars' music director, Michael Gruber, welcomed the Vancouver Canucks to town by playing Nickelback songs.

Nickelback's actual province of origin aside, the Stars kept the gag going for every stoppage in the second period.
Here's the video evidence, if you can bring yourself to click "play."
The Stars' game-night crew is well known for troll jobs, including the "Top 10 Reasons To Visit Winnipeg" and associating Justin Bieber with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The Nickleback stunt didn't sit particularly well with Stars fans, but Gruber seemed to enjoy himself.
So thanks to everyone for enjoying or at least tolerating tonight's shenanigans. This job is a damn blast and I hope I do it some justice!
