After a shaky second period Wednesday, Philadelphia Flyers goaltender Steve Mason made arguably the save of the year early in the third period.
Mason looked down and out after Boston Bruins defenseman Colin Miller threaded a pass to David Pastrnak, but the netminder extended his arm to get a piece of the shot, barely preventing the puck from crossing the goal line.
The 27-year-old entered the game in the second period after starter Michal Neuvirth left with an undisclosed injury.
