The San Jose Sharks are feeling anything but homesick.

Brent Burns scored twice and Martin Jones made 38 saves to lead the Sharks to a 3-1 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins on Saturday. They have now won the first five games of their six-game Eastern Conference road trip.

Patrick Marleau recorded the 1,000th point of his NHL career when Burns beat Marc-Andre Fleury to open the scoring in the first period.

Marleau added another assist on Burns' second goal, which proved to be the game-winner. Burns now has seven goals and nine assists in 20 games this season.

Paul Martin put the game out of reach with a third-period goal against his former team.

San Jose improved its impressive road record to 9-3-0. The Sharks will look to finish their perfect road trip against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Sunday.

Phil Kessel scored the lone goal for the Penguins, who fall to 12-8-0. Fleury made 26 saves in the loss. Pittsburgh will try to get back on track when they host the St. Louis Blues on Wednesday.
