DFS: Dynamic Duos - Monday's Top DFS Teammate Plays

Eric Hartline / USA TODAY Sports

With so few obvious stack options on Monday's schedule, owners will need to be creative while trying to maximize DFS scoring. The Columbus Blue Jackets and the Anaheim Ducks enter the day as the strongest moneyline favorites in Las Vegas, while the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Philadelphia Flyers are also given the edge.

Here are the dynamic duos to target for Monday:

Philadelphia Flyers vs. Florida Panthers

C Claude Giroux + W Jakub Voracek

Following the Flyers' 7-1 loss at the hands of the Panthers on Saturday, look for their two biggest stars to respond on home ice. Giroux and Voracek have opened with just one combined point and a cumulative minus-4 rating, but Giroux has five shots on goal and Voracek has nine of his own.

These two offensive juggernauts can't stay off the score sheets for long with those shot rates, and their time on ice remains high. Michael Raffl, on the left side, is clearly the weakest part of the first line, and it may not be much longer until one of Brayden Schenn, Matt Read or Scott Laughton are given a look.

In what needs to be a statement game from the Flyers, Giroux and Voracek will be leaned on, while all other Flyers' forwards should be avoided until they show some consistent production.

Columbus Blue Jackets at Buffalo Sabres

W Brandon Saad + C Ryan Johansen

Despite the Blue Jackets poor start, the addition of Saad has made an immediate impact, as he and Johansen have scored two of the team's four goals. Johansen leads the team with nine shots on goal, while Saad is tied for second with six.

With the Sabres already losing G Robin Lehner for some time, the Jackets will be opposed by either Chad Johnson or Nathan Lieuwen. Either one will present a holiday feast for the Jackets' top offensive players, and Saad's affordable cap hit makes this a very possible stack, even with Johansen's high cost.

Boston Bruins vs. Tampa Bay Lightning

C David Krejci + W David Pastrnak

Despite an offseason overhaul, and several injuries to their remaining defense corps, the Bruins are far too experienced and talented to continue to perform as poorly as they did in their first two games of the season.

Pastrnak's three points in two games leads the team, while Krejci is in a tie for second with a goal and an assist. Pastrnak has also been the team's most prolific shooter, with eight shots on goal thus far. The two are separated when the Bruins are on the powerplay, but each is a member of a powerplay unit.

The Bruins' first line may need a little time to adjust with Brett Connolly replacing Brad Marchand, so owners should focus on the well accustomed duo of Krejci and Pastrnak.
