Raiders' Woodson wants to pick off Peyton Manning for 1st time Sunday

Jerry Lai / USA TODAY Sports

Oakland Raiders safety Charles Woodson has built a Hall of Fame career on picking off opposing quarterbacks. With 62 career interceptions, that's a long list of passers.

That list, however, does not include Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning.

With the Raiders playing the Broncos on Sunday, Woodson has another chance to get his first interception from Manning - something he desperately wants.

"It would be great, man. He's eluded me for 18 years," Woodson said Tuesday on NFL Network's "Around The NFL."

"It would be great. It would be even better if we could come out with the victory. But it would be great to get my hands on one of Peyton's balls."

Woodson and Manning both entered the league in the 1998 NFL Draft. They're two of only three players from that class still playing, along with Indianapolis Colts quarterback Matt Hasselbeck.
