Justin Bieber has Floyd Mayweather's back, and not just when he's escorting him into the ring.

In an interview with Complex, the 21-year-old megastar and boxing spectator decided to call people out who take the undefeated champion's bragging and showmanship too seriously, calling them "stupid."

"With Floyd, he's just an image. I think he may not do the best job at being humble, but that's not his job," Bieber replied when asked if his association with Mayweather opened him up for criticism. "I mean, it's good to see people that are just humble and cool and down-to-earth and chill, but he's trying to get pay-per-view numbers. He's saying wild stuff just for attention. When people can just stop being stupid - sorry to say that - but when people can stop reading into it so much and just look at the fact that he's doing this for entertainment...

"He's in a one-man sport. I'm in a one-man thing, too, but I have so many people that help me do this."

Bieber was present at Mayweather's final fight before his retirement, a blowout against Andre Berto.
