Meanwhile, Martindale, drafted by the Edmonton Oilers in 2010, has yet to play an NHL game. The 23-year-old spent last season in the AHL, splitting his time between the San Antonio Rampage and Syracuse Crunch, the Lightning's affiliate.
Martindale finished the year with 16 goals and 27 points in 64 games between both clubs.
