Italian reigning champions Juventus bolstered its defensive ranks on Thursday, completing the signing of Brazilian left full-back Alex Sandro from FC Porto, the Portuguese outfit announced.
Sandro, 24, joins Juventus on a permanent deal for a €26-million transfer fee after completing his medical earlier in the day.
Sandro is a Brazilian international who has featured for the national team six times. For Porto, Sandro played in 137 games in all competitions, scoring three goals. He helped the Portuguese club win two league titles and two Portuguese Super Cups.
He is expected to challenge French full-back Patrice Evra for a starting role in the Juventus back line.
