Coach: Rousey has the skills to win world boxing title

Ronda Rousey is quite possibly the most terrifying woman on the planet.

The UFC women's bantamweight champion has carved a path of destruction through her division, with most of her finishes coming via a spectacular judo throw/armbar combination.

According to Edmond Tarverdyan, Rousey's coach at the Glendale Fighting Club, Rousey isn't a one-trick pony, and her blossoming stand-up game isn't just good for the UFC - it's world class.

"I know she can do it," Tarverdyan told MMAFighting.com's Marc Raimondi. "I know she wins the boxing world title. Ronda has nothing to prove to me. I know what kind of fighter I have on my hands."

As to whether or not Rousey's newfound power could compete with Cristiane "Cyborg" Justino, likely the hardest puncher in women's MMA, Tarverdyan said Rousey's technique would win out over Cyborg's brute force.

"Ronda spars with boxing world champions that punch way harder than Cyborg," Rousey said. "Ronda has never lost a round in the gym. A round. With boxing world champions. What is Cyborg?"
