PHOTO: Gilbert Arenas criticizes LeBron James, says he 'isn't a No. 1 option'
LeBron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers, according to Gilbert Arenas, could be one of the top two or three players in NBA history, but until he becomes a more selfish player, "The King" will never reach his full potential.
It's a contentious stance to take, but that's how the former NBA guard feels about James' game, which he made clear in a recent Instagram post, saying how No. 23 "isn't a No. 1 option."
In Arenas' defense, he's not exactly calling James a scrub. What he sees in the four-time league MVP is the ability to dominate in unparalleled ways that few of his predecessors could have dreamed of.
James' main issue, according to Arenas, is he lacks a killer instinct on the offensive end, often deferring to teammates to shoulder more of the scoring load while he contributes in other areas.
It's one person's opinion, albeit a controversial one. We should expect nothing less from a man who's never been one to shy away from expressing how he feels.
