VIDEO: No. 1 pick Karl-Anthony Towns excites 15,000 Wolves fans with scrimmage dunk

The Minnesota Timberwolves really know how to sell excitement to their fanbase.

The Wolves intimately introduced No. 1 overall pick Karl-Anthony Towns to more than 15,000 fans who showed up for a team scrimmage on Wednesday.

If expectations weren't already high enough for the potentially franchise-altering, two-way prospect, Towns ratcheted them higher by hitting a three and throwing down an obscene between-the-legs dunk.

That's a near 7-footer who weighs 250 pounds flying through the air with the agility and finesse of a wing. And it wasn't just the dunking and shooting - Towns showed off some creative passing, too, in dealing to teammate and reigning slam dunk champion Zach LaVine.

Not to be left out, several other Wolves were showing off their best dunks in warmups, too.

The turnout for a scrimmage in July is fairly remarkable and speaks to the continued faith in the franchise's rebuilding plans. With Towns, LaVine, Andrew Wiggins, Ricky Rubio, Shabazz Muhammad, and more, it's not hard to see why. And it's not going unnoticed.

And yes, while the Wolves will still struggle some as they develop, this is going to be a must-watch League Pass team.
