The Toronto Raptors may have their power forward situation resolved. Unrestricted free agent Luis Scola announced, just after the NBA's free agent moratorium was lifted Thursday, that he was joining the team.
We the north...
Here I come

The old-school smiley colon emoticon has a certain understated elegance on a day chock-full of emojis, and the move makes sense from a Toronto perspective.
It's a one-year deal worth close to $3 million, according to Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski. Scola, who has spent the last two years with the Indiana Pacers, was in the NBA's top-15 in defensive rebounding percentage this past season, a sore spot for the Raps in 2014-15. With the loss of Amir Johnson, the Raptors needed a steady hand at the four after upgrading at small forward.
Scola, who turns 36 in August, may not be the player he used to be, but averaged 9.4 points and 6.5 rebounds in 20 minutes per game this past season.
