LeBron James is reclining back and watching all of this. And it seems once his friend Tristan Thompson, and perhaps others, are comfortably under contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers, he will officially re-sign.
And, the team's addition of his old-school Cavs teammate Mo Williams on Monday will not make them abandon re-signing unrestricted free agent J.R. Smith and the restricted Matthew Dellavedova, according to multiple reports.
Smith, perhaps unfortunately, opted out of $6.4 million next season to become an unrestricted free agent. Should he return to Cleveland, he may have to take a pay cut.
Dellavedova was extended his qualifying offer for $1.1 million by the Cavs and is a restricted free agent.
