Report: Oilers expressed interest in Ramo, Neuvirth in free agency

Cam Talbot may not be the only addition to the Edmonton Oilers' goaltending depth chart this summer.
General manager Peter Chiarelli is believed to have made calls on both Karri Ramo and Michal Neuvirth in advance of the NHL free agent signing period, according to Pierre LeBrun of ESPN.
While Ramo decided to return to the Calgary Flames and Neuvirth signed a deal with the Philadelphia Flyers, the calls suggest Chiarelli is looking to further shore up a position of weakness, putting Ben Scrivens's status in doubt.
At any rate, Talbot brings only 57 games of NHL experience to the table, meaning a measure of insurance might be handy heading into a new season.
