Hot on the heels of the Charlotte Hornets' acquisition of Nicolas Batum in exchange for Gerald Henderson and Noah Vonleh, Charlotte may also be acquiring guard Jeremy Lamb from the Oklahoma City Thunder. The potential deal was first reported by Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer.

Bonnell reported that a trade would involve the contract of recently-acquired Hornets forward Matt Barnes, who the Thunder reportedly would not keep. However, OKC is instead pursuing a draft pick in exchange for Lamb, according to Darnell Mayberry of The Oklahoman. The report states that Lamb will not fetch Charlotte's first- or second-rounder this year, but a future pick.

Not surprisingly, Lamb is reportedly on the block in Oklahoma City after falling out of the rotation amidst in the wake of a roster shuffle last season. His potential is regarded highly enough as a shooting guard, and a change of scenery for the 23-year-old could be beneficial. The Thunder are also reportedly in the market for another draft pick, although presumably purely from a financial perspective.
