The Phoenix Suns are exploring trade options for Eric Bledsoe, and have discussed sending the point guard and the 13th pick in Thursday's draft to the New York Knicks for the No. 4 pick, according to the Sporting News' Sean Deveney.

Any such deal would have to completed after the draft, meaning selections would be made for the other team. Bledsoe signed a 5-year, $70-million deal with Phoenix last summer, and some salary would need to move from the Knicks back to the Suns.

The Suns seemed committed to the two point guard-system they've gone with the past few years, and moving Bledsoe would presumably put the reins in the hands of restricted free agent Brandon Knight. Entering this past season, the Suns had Bledsoe, Goran Dragic, and Isaiah Thomas on the roster.

While in need of an infusion of talent at just about every position, such a deal would give the Knicks a ball-dominant scorer who averaged 17 points and six assists on 44.7 percent shooting. New York is believed to be desperate to draft a big man, and Deveney reports have serious interest in Frank Kaminsky.
