NBA Finals: Barnes closes awesome first half with putback jam (VIDEO)
Golden State Warriors forward Harrison Barnes punctuated a frenetic first half in Game 5 of the NBA Finals with a putback dunk on a missed Stephen Curry layup attempt.
The play occurred with three seconds remaining in the second quarter, moments after LeBron James failed to cross halfcourt within the allotted eight seconds, resulting in a late half turnover.
The first half treated NBA fans to a flurry of brilliant plays from either team. The Warriors opened the game with Draymond Green doing a bit of everything. Meanwhile, for the Cavaliers, J.R. Smith got off to a hot start from beyond the arc - entering halftime with 14 points.
Most impressive, perhaps, was the fact that James logged 20 points, eight rebounds, and eight assists to close out the half.
