Lakers' Bryant responds to those who call him a selfish player: 'Count to 5'

Chris Humphreys-USA TODAY Sports

With five NBA Championships on his resume, Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers will forever have ammunition to destroy those who dare question the legend of The Black Mamba.

When asked by a fan on Twitter how he feels when naysayers call him a selfish player, the 17-time NBA All-Star had a perfect response:

Just count the rings, haters. That's all you need to do.

Bryant also reminded a heckler of his greatness while sitting at the end of the bench during a road game versus the Dallas Mavericks in December.

Bryant, who passed Michael Jordan for third on the NBA's all-time scoring list this season, missed 47 games while recovering from a lateral tibial plateau fracture in his left knee, as well as recovery time for a prior Achilles injury.

The Lakers finished with the second-worst record in the Western Conference at 21-61 - the lowest winning percentage in franchise history (.256). Could the presence of a "selfish" Kobe been enough to prevent that?

Just count to five.
