Brendan Rodgers was considered the consensus No. 1 talent in this year's amateur draft. Fortunately for the Colorado Rockies, the first two teams felt differently.

The Rockies selected the power-hitting high school shortstop with the third overall pick in Monday's draft, marking the first time in history a shortstop has been taken with each of the first three picks.

The Florida prep standout possesses exceptional power at the shortstop position, and his quick bat speed and ability to use all parts of the field project him an above-average hitter at the MLB level.
