Analysis:
Randle fell to the Lakers at the seventh overall pick in last year's 2014 NBA Draft after concerns about the health of his right foot came up during the pre-draft process. He averaged 12.5 points (42% FG, 64% FT), 4.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.3 steals, 0.8 blocks, and 3.3 turnovers in four Summer League games last summer, disappointing on the boards while showing a surprising, and possibly misguided, proclivity for putting the ball on the floor and trying to facilitate. Entering the regular season, Randle appeared healthy, but bad luck struck on Opening Night when he suffered a fractured right tibia that then held him out of the remainder of his rookie season. Carlos Boozer is expected to leave the Lakers in free agency this offseason, and if Randle is healthy going into next season, he'll likely be one of the starters in the frontcourt.
