Hawks' Kyle Korver forced from Game 2 with ankle injury
Everything unraveled for the Atlanta Hawks on Friday.
In addition to losing by double-digits at home to the severely shorthanded Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 2, sharpshooter Kyle Korver was forced out of action after sustaining an ankle injury.
The injury occurred during a scramble for a loose ball. Cavaliers point guard Matthew Dellavedova went to the ground to corral a loose ball and rolled into Korver's leg.
Korver has been less than automatic on his jumpshots this postseason, shooting just 35.6 percent from deep coming into Friday as compared to the league-best 49.2 percent mark he submitted in the regular season.
However, Korver is still one of the Hawks' deadliest offensive weapons, creating space with his movement and pinning defenders to the perimeter. He's also a plus defender and the Hawks are 13.2 points per 100 possessions improved with him on the court.
The Hawks ultimately fell to the Cavs 94-82.
