  • Assuming Adrian Peterson is back with Vikings, he returns to the fantasy world as the number one pick in 2015. Peterson should be well rested and ready to deliver in an offense that could be far more dangerous than people realize.
  • Le'Veon Bell would be at the top of this list, but his three-game suspension takes a bit of the shine off one of fantasy's brightest young stars. Bell was undeniable over the Steelers' final seven games, averaging 102 rushing yards, 65 receiving yards and more than a touchdown per outing.
  • As a rookie, Jeremy Hill averaged over five yards per carry and finished as a top-10 back in standard leagues. When you factor in that he didn't see the ball consistently until Week 9, it's easy to comprehend why he's ranked among fantasy's best at his position heading into his sophomore campaign. While Gio Bernard will siphon touches, Hill is the clear lead back in Cincinnati.
  • C.J. Anderson was mentioned in this space a year ago as a player who could far outproduce his fantasy draft stock. Much like Hill, Anderson didn't get a chance to prove himself until the second half of the season. Once the Broncos turned to him, Anderson exploded with 1,057 total yards and 10 touchdowns over the final eight games. Believe the hype.
  • DeMarco Murray and Arian Foster are top-five talents whose injury concerns are far too significant to ignore. Playing in all 16 games for the first time in his career, Murray totaled 449 touches a year ago. Meanwhile, Foster has only suited up in 21 games over the last two seasons. Those are major red flags.
  • Normally a 32-year-old running back signing with a new team is a situation to stay away from, but the Colts' offense might be the fountain of youth that gives Frank Gore one more big fantasy campaign. Gore will get ample opportunities to score playing in an Andrew Luck-led offense and he's a very underrated pass-catcher. He routinely caught 40 to 60 passes per season earlier in his career.
  • After posting 964 yards and nine touchdowns in 13 games last season, Mark Ingram is being drafted in the third round of many mocks so far this year. Ingram will see the majority of carries for the Saints, but C.J. Spiller is the more intriguing back in New Orleans. Spiller showed flashes of elite ability, but was held back by subpar offenses in Buffalo. He could be a sneaky fantasy starter playing in the Superdome.
  • With Todd Gurley working his way back from a knee injury and Tevin Coleman still needing to beat out Devonta Freeman to win the starting job in Atlanta, Melvin Gordon is the top-ranked rookie running back. Gordon has the potential to be a star right away, but be warned that he might be limited to early down work in Year 1.
  • Figuring out the Cowboys' backfield will be one of the challenges of the summer. Joseph Randle gets the early nod in the rankings mostly based on Darren McFadden's injury history. Even if McFadden wins the job in camp, there is little proof that he can stay healthy long enough to make it count. Either back could star behind Dallas' line.
  • Players who may surprise this season: Charles Sims (not much competition standing between him and the starting job in Tampa), Javorius "Buck" Allen (solid receiver and blocker, who will step up if injuries strike in Baltimore), David Johnson (may see goal-line work while playing behind a starter who wore down a year ago), and Chris Polk (could see his number called if Foster goes down).
