  • There aren't many surprises near the top, with Odell Beckham Jr. joining the upper echelon of fantasy pass-catchers. Beckham did more than enough to earn his membership and it wouldn't be surprising to see him finish as the No. 1 fantasy receiver in 2015.
  • Calvin Johnson ranked outside of the top five will take some getting used to. Megatron is still one of the best in the game and while he may reclaim the throne in 2015, injuries could be chipping away at his once unbreakable armor.
  • After drafting Jameis Winston first overall, the Buccaneers should get improved play from their quarterback position. With that in mind, Mike Evans gets moved into the top 10 and Vincent Jackson continues to be ranked in the twenties, despite a down year that saw him visit the end zone only twice.
  • DeAndre Hopkins finished 15th among fantasy receivers in 2014, but he's in for a big test this season as defenses will be scheming specifically to stop him. Hopkins has the talent to overcome the extra attention, as long as his quarterbacks are able to get him the ball.
  • Amari Cooper doesn't seem to be getting the kind of hype that a star pass-catcher selected fourth overall deserves. Cooper landed in a situation where he will be the unquestioned No. 1 option, playing with a young quarterback who fared well in his rookie season, on a team that will spend plenty of time in comeback mode. Cooper will be a WR2 this year as he soaks up targets in the black hole.
  • For the first time in his career, Andre Johnson will take the field with one of the NFL's premier quarterbacks on his team. Johnson will be 34 years old when the season starts, but he's only one-year removed from a 1,400-yard campaign. Buying a part of the Colts passing attack is a smart fantasy move and if you're not willing to pay the price for T.Y. Hilton, Johnson may be a value on draft day.
  • Johnson isn't the only veteran worth targeting this year. Household names like Steve Smith, Anquan Boldin, and Roddy White tend to fall in drafts, as owners are drawn to search for the next big star. However, that trio finished 20th, 21st, and 26th among receivers last season in standard leagues.
  • Jeremy Maclin leaves the the high-volume Eagles offense to join a club that isn't used to seeing its receivers catch touchdowns. Maclin is teaming up with former head coach Andy Reid to finally give Kansas City a true talent on the outside. Just don't expect the inflated numbers he put up last year in Philadelphia.
  • Players who may surprise this season: Martavis Bryant (came on strong last season in an offense that might be involved in more high-scoring games this year), Breshad Perriman (has the skill set to step into a starting role with the Ravens in Marc Trestman's pass-happy scheme), Charles Johnson (Vikings OC Norv Turner has praised Johnson on several occasions), Nelson Agholor (could struggle with consistency, but there are plenty of targets to go around in Philly).
