The Team Canada gold medalist has good hands and uses his size to create scoring opportunities not only for himself, but his teammates, plus he's got the strength of a gorilla.

What the scouts are saying

"Lawson is a 'big' man who can impose himself on opponents and make it extremely difficult for them. He is a strong skater with a good burst of speed and if he has the slightest step on a defender, it is an almost impossible task to regain position versus him. Good puck skills and is a smart player with and without the puck. Developing into the type of player that can be a force at the NHL level" - TSN Director of Scouting Craig Button

"He's a big-bodied guy, protects the puck, and is solid on his skates. He can see the ice and barrels through everyone. He's got good hands to go along with that big body." - NHL Central Scouting’s Chris Edwards

"Crouse's physical ability is off the charts. He has one of the biggest bodies in the draft, skates well and imposes his physical will on opponents, particularly on the forecheck. He has a good set of hands and good offensive instincts, which help elevate his floor as a pro. At the very least, Crouse should be a quality third line player. If he cashes in on his potential, he could develop into a very impactful top-six forward." - NHL.com's Chris Lund
