Rockets apologize after offensive tweet to Mavericks

The Houston Rockets and Dallas Mavericks have built themselves a tense in-state rivalry over the last couple of years, so after the Rockets dispatched the Mavericks in their first-round series, the team's social media department tried to rub some salt in the wound.
Unfortunately, it wasn't the most appropriate of tweets.

The Rockets quickly deleted the original tweet, and posted the following apology moments later:
Our Tweet earlier was in very poor taste & not indicative of the respect we have for the @dallasmavs & their fans. We sincerely apologize.

And now, basketball Twitter waits for the inevitable Daryl Morey-Mark Cuban battle.
