Team GP Goals Assists Points PIM
Saint John Sea Dogs 66 12 29 41 62

Overview:

Chabot is a consistent, well-rounded defenseman that can do a bit of everything. He can contribute on the scoreboard, has good vision to find the open man, and has great speed for a defender.

The 18-year-old could benefit from adding some size and muscle. Chabot is 6-foot-2, but weighs just 179 pounds. Chabot has the makeup to be a physical force on the blue line, but admits he could be a bit meaner and tougher on the competition.

What the scouts are saying:

"His year-to-year development has been terrific," TSN's director of scouting Craig Button said. "Plays a very assured game with and without the puck. He possesses excellent mobility and it allows him to be very effective defensively and to transition to offense quickly. A very good passer who gets the puck into the right spots at the right times. He showed glimpses of being in the group of top three defensemen of this draft, along with Hanifin, Provorov and Werenski."
