Dortmund director denies 'grotesque' rumors linking Gundogan with United
Ilkay Gundogan isn't going anywhere.
That's the message from a defiant Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc, who has rejected recent reports suggesting that the midfielder is on his way to Manchester United imminently - with rumors suggesting that a €30-million deal has already been agreed upon.
In an interview with Sky Sport News HD in Germany, Zorc refuted those claims, making his point very, very clear: There is no deal.
"Usually we won't comment on these countless rumours, but this story is so grotesque, and that's why we say this once: There is no signature, there is no offer, no request, and not even any contact.
"My last contact with Manchester United, and I say this openly and honestly, took place in November 2014 and was about something else entirely."
So there.
