The Super Bowl champions will be at the White House on Thursday to be recognized for their achievement, but the quarterback who led them to glory won't be there.

Tom Brady will not attend the event with his teammates due to a prior family commitment, CSN New England's Tom E. Curran reports.

While some players have famously chosen not to visit the White House for political reasons, that doesn't seem to be the case for Brady.

The good news for the Super Bowl MVP is that he isn't missing his only chance to visit the White House. Brady made the trip after the Patriots won multiple Super Bowls in the early 2000s.

Brady isn't passing up his only chance to meet President Barack Obama, either. Brady met Obama when he was a U.S. senator in 2005.
