Spurs lose Parker to right Achilles injury
Tony Parker can't catch a break.
The San Antonio Spurs' point guard left Wednesday night's Game 2 against the Los Angeles Clippers late in the fourth quarter with tightness in his right Achilles and didn't return.
Parker wasn't a factor offensively in his 30 minutes on the floor, missing all six shots he took, finishing with one point, two rebounds, five assists and a steal.
Patty Mills - who tied up the game at 94-94 with two clutch free throws with seconds left in the fourth to send the game to overtime - took over the ball-handling duties for the Spurs, and was instrumental in the team's 111-107 overtime win.
Mills had 18 points on 5-of-9 shooting, going 2-of-5 from deep and hitting all six of his free throws. He added three boards, one assist and a steal in 19 minutes.
