The New York Rangers came out firing in Game 1 against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Thursday and were rewarded with a goal in the opening minute.
Rick Nash gained the zone along the left-side boards and fired a shot toward Marc-Andre Fleury. The rebound went right to Derick Brassard in the slot, where he fired it home to give New York the early lead.
Brassard seems to enjoy facing Pittsburgh in the playoffs. He recorded five points (four goals, one assist) in the Rangers' series victory over the Penguins in 2014.
