Wisconsin's Traevon Jackson: I'll play in Sweet Sixteen vs. North Carolina

Wisconsin is getting a boost in its quest to win its first national championship since 1941.

Guard Traevon Jackson told reporters he'll play in the No. 1 Badgers' game against No. 4 North Carolina on Thursday without a minutes restriction, according to Jeff Eisenberg of Yahoo Sports.

"Just to be able to play aggressive and play free, that's what I'm looking forward to. I'm here to help. I'm here to be an addition to the team. That's all I can do. I think I can help out a lot," Jackson said.

Jackson hasn't played since Jan. 11 in a game against Rutgers due to a fractured foot.

The senior averaged 9.4 points and a team-leading 2.9 assists in 17 games. The Badgers went 18-1 in his absence. 

Star forward Frank Kaminsky spoke about what the team can expect out of Jackson's return:

"He's another fresh body. At this point in the year, that's what you need is people coming off the bench who are ready to contribute to the team. Trae obviously has been a good player in his career. He was a starter until he got hurt. Having him back is very good for us."
