Report: Cristiano Ronaldo considering move to MLS in 2018

If Cristiano Ronaldo can overwhelm the majority of European opponents with ease, imagine the absolute destruction he'd leave behind in North America.

That scenario might very well become reality after a report emerged Tuesday suggesting the Real Madrid superstar could be set for a move to Major League Soccer in 2018.

Ronaldo is apparently leaning towards making a sensational move across the pond when his Real Madrid contract expires, sources tell Sports Illustrated's Grant Wahl.

The report also suggests a move to MLS would be on a free transfer, presumably eliminating a heated bidding war between countless European teams willing to pay millions for his services, even at the age of 33.

Unfortunately the likes of Columbus, Philadelphia and Kansas City won't have a chance to sign him, as Wahl claims Ronaldo has three preferred destinations, with Los Angeles, New York and Miami leading the list.
