"I am pleased," Amalfitano told West Ham TV of his new contract. "It's the culmination of a good year. We're always trying to do our best and so I'm very pleased to have signed for two more years. I think I've impressed the management, I know that I can always do better and I hope to do so. I'll give it my all as I have done in the first eight months."
Amalfitano joined Sam Allardyce's side at the deadline of the summer transfer window, having spent the previous season on loan at West Brom from Marseille. He's since become a first-team regular at Upton Park with three goals and one assist through 18 Premier League appearances.
"I've not had a chance to see the Olympic Stadium yet but apparently it's a very, very beautiful Stadium," Amalfitano said. "So I'm very pleased to be a part of the project and I always want to please our fans, as much as possible."
The new deal means that Amalfitano will be at West Ham when the club moves into Olympic Stadium for the 2016-2017 season.
