Clippers' Dahntay Jones fined $10,000 by NBA for bumping Green on TV
Dahntay Jones' stupidity cost him 10 grand.
The NBA announced Monday that it was fining the little-used Los Angeles Clippers guard $10,000 for bumping Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors during Green's postgame sideline interview with ESPN/ABC on Sunday.
As Green later pointed out, it was a surprising move in front of a TV camera, and a ballsy one from a guy who, as Green put it, "don't play."
The 11-year veteran Jones has played in 17 of 63 games for the Clippers this season, averaging 0.9 points in 4.6 minutes of action.
Dahntay Jones still contends bump was an accident and will appeal the fine.

"Some people like to draw attention to themselves and make themselves bigger than what they are," Jones said. "I think it was more him drawing attention to himself and wanting to be the reason someone else got fined."
