Mavericks' Parsons, Chandler remain out
The Dallas Mavericks will be forced to once again to get by without a pair of starters.
Center Tyson Chandler and small forward Chandler Parsons are unavailable for Monday's game against the New Orleans Pelicans, according to ESPN's Tim MacMahon.
Parsons is set to miss his fifth consecutive game since suffering an ankle sprain, while Chandler is dealing with a hip issue that will sideline him for a third straight contest.
Both are getting close, and should be considered strong candidates to suit up for the Mavericks' following contest against the Portland Trail Blazers on Thursday.
Dallas hosts a Pelicans team riding a five-game winning streak and fighting to stay alive in the Western Conference playoff race. New Orleans has gone on a roll without All-Star Anthony Davis, who is sidelined with a shoulder sprain, and sit half a game behind the Oklahoma City Thunder for the No. 8 seed.
