Report: Todd Gurley won't let combine doctors examine surgically repaired knee

Georgia running back Todd Gurley is at the NFL Scouting Combine, but he's not showing off the one thing NFL teams are most interested in seeing.

Gurley isn't allowing NFL doctors to examine his surgically repaired knee, according to NFL Network's Michael Silver.

Gurley tore his ACL in November. Despite the injury, he's widely considered to be a first-round draft prospect.

Stories of players not submitting to medical evaluations at the combine are very rare. Many in the draft community consider the medical check-ups to be the most important facet of the event – more than on-field drills and interviews.

It's unclear why Gurley doesn't want his knee's health to be scrutinized. It's unlikely a team would use a premium draft pick on him without feeling very confident his ligament is healing as expected.

Silver reports Gurley is expected to submit to medical exams at a time closer to the draft
