Clarke MacArthur was helped off the ice in considerable discomfort after colliding with Robin Lehner late in the second period of Monday's game against the Carolina Hurricanes.
The Ottawa Senators teammates got tangled up on a Hurricanes scoring chance in the final minutes of the period. MacArthur barreled into Lehner while backchecking but appeared to suffer the worst of the collision. Lehner left the ice under his own power.
Officials signaled the end of the period after the collision. The 52 seconds remaining in the second period will be added to the start of the third.
