Virginia's Justin Anderson out 4-6 weeks with fractured finger
Virginia guard Justin Anderson injured his shooting hand in the Cavaliers' 52-47 victory over Louisville on Saturday, and will be out of the lineup for a while.
Anderson shot 1-of-9 in 16 minutes of play before exiting in the first half and did not return for the second half.
Following the game, the school announced that Anderson would miss 4-6 weeks after fracturing a finger on his left hand. Anderson is scheduled to undergo surgery on the fractured finger Sunday.
The loss of Anderson is a huge one for the Cavaliers, as he entered Saturday leading the team averaging 13.9 points while chipping in 4.3 rebounds and 2.1 assists. Based on the timetable, the junior guard could return in time for the ACC championship tournament, or be out until March Madness is well under way.
