Indianapolis Colts linebacker D'Qwell Jackson was reportedly arrested for punching a man on Tuesday evening during an argument over a parking spot, according to Jennifer Donelan of ABC 7 News

Jackson was arrested around 8 p.m. ET in Washington, D.C., after police officers arrived on the scene and determined he had assaulted another driver. He was booked and released later in the evening, according to ESPN.com.

The altercation began after another driver told Jackson he would be occupying a parking space for a moment, according to WJLA-TV. Jackson got angry, told the driver to vacate the space and the assault occurred.

The Colts released a brief statement saying they are aware of the incident.

"The Indianapolis Colts have been made aware that D'Qwell Jackson was charged yesterday in DC with a count of simple assault. When the Club learns more of the surrounding facts, it will make an appropriate statement," the statement reads.

Jackson would be the latest Colts linebacker to run into trouble with the law in 2015 after Josh McNary was charged with rape on Jan. 14 and Andrew Jackson was arrested for DUI on Jan. 25.

The 31-year-old recorded 140 tackles and a forced fumble in 2014.
