VIDEOS: Rose turns back clock, attacks basket against Spurs

It's been a long time since we saw vintage Derrick Rose. The Rose who dominated during the 2010-11 season to become the youngest MVP in NBA history. 

We saw that version Thursday night in the Chicago Bulls' nationally televised TNT game against the San Antonio Spurs. Perhaps Rose's strong play against the reigning champion is a sign of things to come for the three-time All-Star, who entered the game shooting 39.6 percent from the field since the calender flipped to the new year. 

Rose nailed a wild contested 3-pointer at one point, but it's the way he was attacking the basket versus the Spurs that brought back memories of the player who was once one of the game's most exciting players.

And here's one more from the Chicago Bulls' point guard for good measure: 

Rose scored 22 points, shooting 9-of-16 from the field with five assists and two steals to lead the Bulls to a 104-81 victory. 

Hopefully for NBA fans, this Rose is here to stay.
