The Toronto Maple Leafs caught a huge break in the first period of Monday's game against the Carolina Hurricanes at the Air Canada Centre.
The Hurricanes thought they had taken a 3-0 lead in the opening frame, but their third goal was waved off immediately due to incidental contact between forward Jiri Tlusty and goaltender Jonathan Bernier.

The goal would have been Carolina's third on six shots.
